Gudi Padwa marks the beginning of the Maharashtrian New Year and is celebrated with great joy and optimism across Maharashtra and many parts of India. The festival symbolises new beginnings, prosperity, and the triumph of good over evil. From hoisting the traditional gudi outside homes to preparing festive delicacies and spending time with loved ones, the day is deeply rooted in culture and tradition. For many, it’s also a moment to pause, reflect on the year gone by, and welcome the new one with positivity and gratitude.

Being a festival that holds a special place in the hearts of people across Maharashtra, Gudi Padwa is celebrated with equal enthusiasm on the sets of television shows as well. Actors often bring the festive spirit to their workplace, sharing traditions, food, and stories that make the day memorable.

This Gudi Padwa, Zee TV artists Sharad Kelkar and Sameer Patil from Tumm Se Tumm Tak, Hemant Thatte from Lakshmi Niwas, Parineeta Borthakur from Vasudha, Jayati Bhatia from Jaane Anjaane Hum Mile, Indira from Ganga Mai Ki Betiyaan, Sonakshi Batra and Geeta Tyagi from Jagadhatri, and Mohak Matkar from Saru share what the festival means to them.
