The weekly start has been negative amid selling in the stock market. Sensex has fallen by 500 points. Apart from oil and gas, large-scale profit booking has been seen in metal shares. However, market breadth has been positive. Till the time of writing, 370 shares had reached the upper circuit on BSE. While 252 shares had reached the peak of the year. At 11.15 am, out of a total of 4022 shares, 2291 shares were trading in the uptrend and 1588 shares were trading in the downtrend. Which shows positive market breadth.

Sensex falls, Nifty also down:
Sensex and Nifty were down due to selling in the morning session. The Sensex fell 532.82 points to 81600.30. It was trading down 450.70 points at 11.20. In the Sensex pack, all 28 stocks, except IndusInd Bank and Bajaj Finance, fell by up to 2 percent. On the other hand, the Nifty was seen trying to maintain its important support level of 24600. It was trading down 126.15 points at 11.20.

Investors earn today in smallcap midcap:
Investors are earning today as a positive trend is seen in the smallcap and midcap segments. The BSE Smallcap Index was trading with an improvement of 147.39 and Midcap Index was trading with an improvement of 141.33 points. Many smallcap scrips had an upper circuit of up to 20 percent.
