171-Air India Boeing plane has crashed in Meghaninagar IGP compound of Ahmedabad city. The bodies of 50 people have been recovered from the plane crash, while there are fears that this number may still increase. The injured and the dead are being brought to the hospital. There is chaos all around the hospital. One after the other, ambulances filled with dead bodies are being sent to the postmortem room of the Civil Hospital.

According to Health Principal Secretary Dhananjay Dwivedi, the Ahmedabad Civil Hospital has arranged to take DNA samples of the relatives of those who died in the Ahmedabad plane crash accident to identify them. 50 injured are being treated at the Civil Hospital. All the patients are currently stable. Arrangements have been made to provide DNA samples at the Kasoti Bhavan of Ahmedabad Civil Hospital. The close relatives (parents or children) of the deceased will be able to provide DNA samples. The Civil Hospital administration has requested the relatives and friends to provide DNA samples at this Kasoti Bhavan. Following the Ahmedabad plane accident, the hospital administration has announced two phone numbers to contact for information related to patient-oriented treatment at the Ahmedabad Civil Hospital Trauma (Emergency) Center.

The District Administration, Rajkot has announced a helpline number 0281-2471573. In addition, the Air India passenger hotline number 1800 5691 444 and the Ahmedabad City Police number 079-25620359 have been announced, according to the list of the District Administration.
