Ahmedabad : After a break of a few days, rains started once again in Gujarat. Rain has been reported in 36 talukas from 6 am to 8 am today (September 2) amid the forecast of the Meteorological Department. In which the highest rainfall was 3.62 inches in Dangana Waghai, one inch each in Morwa Hadaf, Ahwa Subir, Uchchal, Lunawada and Limkheda. While today in Ahmedabad, it is drizzling in some areas since early morning. According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, today (September 2) heavy to very heavy rain may occur in Bharuch, Narmada, Surat, Tapi, Navsari, Dang, Valsad while Amreli, Bhavnagar, Anand, Vadodara, Panchmahal, Chhota Udepur, Dahod may experience heavy rain. Apart from this light to moderate rain may occur in Kutch, Morbi, Surendranagar, Jamnagar, Rajkot, Devbhoomi Dwarka, Porbandar, Junagadh, Gir Somnath, Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Mehsana, Patan, Banaskantha, Sabarkantha, Aravalli, Mahisagar, Kheda. Amreli on third September, Bhavnagar, Anand, Vadodara, Bharuch, Narmada will experience heavy to very heavy rain while Rajkot, Botad, Surendranagar, Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Kheda, Panchmahal, Chhota Udepur, Surat, Tapi, Navsari, Dang, Valsad will experience heavy rain. Light to moderate rain may occur in Kutch, Morbi, Jamnagar, Devbhoomi Dwarka, Porbandar, Junagadh, Gir Somnath, Patan, Banaskantha, Mehsana, Sabarkantha, Aravalli, Mahisagar, Dahod. On September 4 Kutch, Morbi, Rajkot, Botad, Bhavnagar, Surendranagar, Heavy rain may occur in Ahmedabad, Patan, Banaskantha, Mehsana, Sabarkantha, Gandhinagar, Kheda, Anand, Vadodara, Panchmahal, Bharuch, Chota Udepur, Surat, Narmada. Apart from this, light to moderate rain may occur in Jamnagar, Devbhoomi Dwarka, Porbandar, Junagadh, Amreli, Gir Somnath, Navsari, Tapi, Dang, Valsad, Mahisagar, Aravalli, Dahod. In Gujarat, 100 percent rain of the season has been completed. Till August, the state received 76.57 percent of the season’s rainfall with 26.62 inches. While till August 27 morning, 100 percent rain had fallen with 34.76 inches. More than 100 percent in 16 districts of the state while more than 40 inches of rain has been recorded in 66 talukas. Highest 116.79 percent in Kutch, 108.20 percent in South Gujarat and 101.52 percent in Saurashtra. On the other hand, 100 percent rainfall of the season in East Central Gujarat is now only 1.25 percent away. North Gujarat has received 80 percent of the season’s rainfall.
