Suspicious Ghee Caught: Counting days are now left for Diwali. People will prepare different types of delicious food at home and enjoy the festival by eating sweets. But, miscreants are already starting to spoil the festive complexion. The food department has also come into action regarding this. In view of Diwali, food samples are being collected from various places by the food department. Then, for the third time only from North Gujarat, a quantity of suspicious ghee has been seized.
703 kg quantity of suspected ghee seized
The system has seized a quantity of suspected ghee from Banaskantha. The investigation was conducted by the Food and Drugs Department at Dhanera in Banaskantha. In which 703 kg of suspected ghee was seized and the sample was sent to the lab. In which it has come to light that they are selling ghee under the label of reputed ghee brand ‘Sagar’. The Food Department has taken action and seized 703 kg of suspected ghee and seized 91,000 worth of goods. The Food and Health Department has seized 33 cans of 15 kg, apart from this, 91,000 worth of goods have also been seized and further action has been taken.
The terror of miscegenation in North Gujarat
Just a few days ago, the Food and Drugs Department raided the ghee market in Patan and seized a suspicious quantity of ghee worth 14 lakhs. During investigation, fake ghee was made by mixing palm oil, foreign fat. Police seized 297 kg of loose ghee, 4979 kg of loose palm oil, 8036 kg of refined palm oil and 5798 kg of foreign fat at the spot.
