India’s leading commodity derivatives exchange, Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) has recorded turnover of Rs.74656.06 crores in various futures & option contracts for commodities listed at MCX on 03 September 2024 till 5:00 pm. In which commodity futures accounted for Rs. 9734.14 crores and options on commodity futures for Rs. 64920.76 crores (notional). Bullion Index MCXBULLDEX Sep-24 futures was reached at 17817 point.Bullion: In precious metals, Turnover of Gold and Silver variants clocked Rs. 5599.14 crores. GOLD Oct-24 contract was down by 0.09% to Rs. 71538 per 10 gram, GOLDGUINEA Sep-24 contract was down by 0.1% to Rs. 57861 per 8 gram and GOLDPETAL Sep-24 contract was down by 0.09% to Rs. 7039 per gram. On other hand, GOLDM Sep-24 contract was down by 0.18% to Rs. 71102 per 10 gram.SILVER Sep-24 contract was down by 0.38% to Rs. 82149 per kg, while SILVERM Nov-24 contract was down by 0.6% to Rs. 84115 per kg and SILVERMIC Nov-24 contract was down by 0.59% to Rs. 84135 per kg.Gold futures clocked turnover of Rs. 2481.24 crores with volume of 3463 lots and OI of 20457 lots while Silver futures clocked turnover of Rs. 1504.03 crores with volume of 5954 lots and OI of 31886 lots.Base Metal: Turnover of base metal products accounted for Rs. 1926.39 crores. COPPER Sep-24 contract was down by 1.88% to Rs. 786.35 per kg and ZINC Sep-24 contract was down by 0.77% to Rs. 262.75 per kg while ALUMINIUM Sep-24 contract was down by 0.79% to Rs. 221 per kg and LEAD Sep-24 contract was down by 1% to Rs. 183.45 per kg.Copper futures clocked turnover of Rs. 1456.77 crores, Aluminium futures Rs. 100.26 crores, Lead futures Rs. 42.80 crores, and Zinc futures clocked turnover of Rs. 222.04 crores.Energy: Turnover of energy products contributed for Rs. 2213.33 crores. CRUDEOIL Sep-24 contract was down by 1.8% to Rs. 6110 per BBL while NATURALGAS Sep-24 contract was down by 0.76% to Rs. 183.2 per MMBTU.
