India’s leading commodity derivatives exchange, Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) has recorded turnover of Rs.60007.62 crores in various futures & option contracts for commodities listed at MCX on 05 September 2024 till 5:00 pm. In which commodity futures accounted for Rs. 10767.49 crores and options on commodity futures for Rs. 49238.25 crores (notional). Bullion Index MCXBULLDEX Sep-24 futures was reached at 17925 point.Bullion: In precious metals, Turnover of Gold and Silver variants clocked Rs. 6881.03 crores. GOLD Oct-24 contract was up by 0.66% to Rs. 71936 per 10 gram, GOLDGUINEA Sep-24 contract was up by 0.36% to Rs. 58051 per 8 gram and GOLDPETAL Sep-24 contract was up by 0.37% to Rs. 7057 per gram. On other hand, GOLDM Sep-24 contract was up by 0.95% to Rs. 71727 per 10 gram.SILVER Sep-24 contract was up by 1.54% to Rs. 82590 per kg, while SILVERM Nov-24 contract was up by 1.22% to Rs. 84671 per kg and SILVERMIC Nov-24 contract was up by 1.23% to Rs. 84699 per kg.Gold futures clocked turnover of Rs. 2975.25 crores with volume of 4142 lots and OI of 20376 lots while Silver futures clocked turnover of Rs. 1784.65 crores with volume of 7044 lots and OI of 31434 lots.Base Metal: Turnover of base metal products accounted for Rs. 1957.58 crores. COPPER Sep-24 contract was up by 0.54% to Rs. 787.6 per kg and ZINC Sep-24 contract was down by 1.49% to Rs. 257.6 per kg while ALUMINIUM Sep-24 contract was down by 0.41% to Rs. 219.55 per kg and LEAD Sep-24 contract was down by 0.44% to Rs. 182.65 per kg.Copper futures clocked turnover of Rs. 1092.54 crores, Aluminium futures Rs. 141.05 crores, Lead futures Rs. 39.20 crores, and Zinc futures clocked turnover of Rs. 511.47 crores.Energy: Turnover of energy products contributed for Rs. 1923.09 crores. CRUDEOIL Sep-24 contract was up by 0.19% to Rs. 5862 per BBL while NATURALGAS Sep-24 contract was up by 1.38% to Rs. 183.1 per MMBTU.Crude Oil futures clocked turnover of Rs. 697.70 crores and Natural Gas futures Rs. 1011.19 crores.AGRI: MENTHAOIL Sep-24 contract was down by 0.08% to Rs. 956 per kg and COTTONCNDY Sep-24 contract was up by 0.2% to Rs. 59120 per candy.Options on Commodity Future Contracts:Commodity Options accounted for Rs. 49238.25 crores turnover (notional), having premium turnover of Rs. 1012.25 crores.
