Kite Festival begins at Ahmedabad Sabarmati Riverfront, more than 600 kite flyers from India and abroad will participate

The International Kite Festival has been organized at Ahmedabad Sabarmati Riverfront today from January 11 to January 14. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel inaugurated the International Kite Festival. 143 kite flyers from 47 countries of the world, 52 from other states and 417 kite flyers from 11 cities of Gujarat will participate in this festival. Today (January 11) at 9 am, the inauguration ceremony has been organized at the riverfront near Vallabh Sadan. The kite festival will be held on the 12th at the Statue of Unity, Rajkot and Vadodara and on the 13th in Surat, Shivrajpur and Dhordo. After the inauguration near the riverfront, a parade of international and national kite flyers, night kite flying, cultural programs, kite workshops will also be held, while handicrafts and refreshment stalls have been kept at this place. This time 417 kite flyers from various cities of Gujarat are going to participate. Last year when the kite festival was celebrated, 153 kite flyers from 55 countries, 68 from 12 states and 865 kite flyers from 23 cities of Gujarat participated, but this year there has been a shocking decline in the number. People from the cities of Gujarat have become less and less.
