Janmashtami 2024: At exactly 12 o’clock in the night, the Krishna Janmotsava was celebrated with fireworks display between Shankhnad, Jhalarnad, Ghantnad, Nand Gher Anand Bheho Jai Kanaiyalalaki’s Gaganbhedi Jayghosh. Along with this, temples across the state, including Dwarka, Shamlaji, Dakor, became Krishnamaya. The night was accompanied by the singing of Karnapriya Matkigita and the hum of Krishna devotional songs. On Monday, Krishna Janmashtami was celebrated in temples and societies and homes across the state in grand manner. Temples, society and homes became devotional with decorations and the atmosphere echoed with slogans like Nand Gher Anand Bheho, Jai Kanaiya Lal Ki. On the day of Janmashtami, devotees flocked to Ghodapur in Krishna temples across the state including Dwarka, Dakor. Krishna temples were decorated with flowers and the temple was decorated on various themes. Apart from various religious programs during the day, Krishna Janmotsava was celebrated grandly at night with bhajans during the night. Prasad, panjari and various sweetmeats were also given to the devotees along with the celebration of Krishna Janmotsava. Apart from this, during the day yesterday (Monday) matkis were built at various places, in some places the residents of the society and in some places Govindas celebrated Janmashtami by breaking the matkis. Bhajan-Kirtan programs were organized from morning till late night in the temple, society and houses. At exactly 12 o’clock in the night, chants of Nand Gher Anand Bheho, Jai Kanaiya Lal Ki, Hathi Ghoda Palkhi, Jai Kanaiya Lalki were resounded along with conch shells in houses and societies besides the temple.
