Factories making fake desi ghee in the name of popular brands like Patanjali, Amul and Paras have been caught in Agra, Uttar Pradesh. These factories were supplying fake ghee in the name of popular brands in all major cities of India. These factories were preparing ghee by mixing urea and other dangerous chemicals. They were committing this fraud by putting stickers of 18 major brands. This fake ghee was being supplied in Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttarakhand. In which harmful substances like palm oil and urea were being adulterated. The police raided and seized about 2500 kg raw material and fake ghee from the factory. Based on a tip-off, the police raided three illegal factories in the Tajganj area that were manufacturing fake ghee. According to the information received during the investigation, three factories are registered in the name of Shyam Agro. The owner of this factory is Neeraj Agarwal, a resident of Gwalior.

Out of these three illegal factories, one factory was manufacturing fake ghee. Raw materials were kept in the second factory, and there was a stock of fake ghee ready for supply in the third factory. Deputy Commissioner of Police Suraj Kumar Rai said that a large amount of fake ghee was kept in an illegal factory located in Tajganj. In which stickers of 18 brands were also found from the factory. Also, fake packaging and materials of the brand were also found. A large amount of essence, palm oil, urea and various types of refined oil, vegetable ghee were found in this fake ghee. The DCP said that fake ghee was being supplied all over North India. The investigation is ongoing. Strict action will be taken against all those involved in this scam. 50 tonnes of this fake ghee prepared in the name of top brands has been sent to Meerut. A police team is tracking the truck. The owner of these three factories also has three other B firms. Which are registered in Madhya Pradesh. Expired goods were also found in these.
