Like Uttar Pradesh, the conspiracy to derail the train has been exposed in Gujarat too. However, due to the vigilance of the railway staff, no major accident occurred. A major disaster is averted before it happens. The Western Railway, Vadodara Division released a video on Saturday saying that some unidentified people had opened the fish plates and keys from the UP line track near Khim railway station and placed them on the track, after which the train movement was stopped. However, train service was started on the line soon. According to a PTI report, recently two days ago in Rampur of Uttar Pradesh, some anti-social elements placed an old six meter long iron pole used for installing telephone wires on the railway tracks. However, the accident was avoided as the driver of the Dehradun Express train applied the emergency brake.
Railway officials said that the incident took place near Rudrapur City railway station, about 43 km from Rampur. A case has been registered against an unknown person at the Political Railway Police Station of Rampur on a complaint to Railway Engineer Rajendra Kumar of Rudrapur City Section. In Farrukhabad also on August 24, in a similar incident, large logs were placed on the railway track near Bhatasa railway station on the Kasganj-Farrukhabad railway track, colliding with which a passenger train was stopped. GRP, RPF and local police have also become alert along with the railway staff in view of such incidents from time to time.
