Calorx Olive International School recently hosted a vibrant and inspiring kite-flying festival, celebrating the joy of soaring dreams. The event featured the esteemed Mr. Ujjal Shah, a world-renowned kite flyer who has achieved numerous national and international accolades, including recognition in the Genius Book of World Records. The highlight of the day was witnessing the first-ever flying of the largest and longest shark-shaped kite, a masterpiece set to dazzle at the prestigious International Kite Festival at Riverfront, Ahmedabad. The awe-inspiring sight left everyone in sheer amazement, marking a moment of pride and excitement for the entire school community. Adding to the festivities, a kite-making workshop was organized, where students of all ages eagerly participated. Under the expert guidance of Mr. Shah, they learned the art and science of crafting kites, embracing hands-on learning experiences that went beyond the classroom. The workshop not only sparked creativity but also instilled important life lessons, making it an unforgettable experience for all. Director and Head of School, Mr. Ankur Upadhyay, shared insightful reflections, drawing parallels between kite flying and life. “Kite flying teaches patience, resilience, and the art of overcoming challenges,” he remarked, inspiring students to approach life’s struggles with perseverance and positivity.The event was a perfect blend of fun, learning, and inspiration. It allowed students to dream big, aim high, and let their aspirations soar as high as the kites in the sky. With hearts full of joy and minds brimming with new ideas, the school community truly embraced the spirit of the festival.
