Ahmedabad: Rainy weather has once again set in Gujarat. The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy to very heavy rains in the state for the next two days. Today (26th September) heavy rains have started in most parts of Ahmedabad for the second consecutive day. Heavy rains have soaked most parts of the city, while Gota, Science City, Sarkhej, Prahlad Nagar, ISKCON, Thalatej, Bhopal, Dhuma, Jodhpur, Shivranjani , many areas of SG highway including Sheelaj are experiencing heavy rains. According to weather department forecast, Valsad, Daman and Dadra Nagar Haveli are on red alert today (September 26). Orange alert has been given in Bhavnagar, Navsari and Dang. While Amreli, Ahmedabad, Anand, Vadodara, Bharuch, Narmada, Surat and Tapi are forecast to receive heavy rain at scattered places with yellow alert. The water level of Sardar Sarovar Narmada Dam has increased due to heavy inflow of water from fasting. In which the water level of Narmada Dam has reached 138.31 meters. Due to which 10 gates of the dam are being opened up to 1 meter and water is being released. The maximum level of Narmada Dam is 138.68 meters.
