Justice K.G. Muslim organizations have also met with the Balakrishnan Committee. Former MP Ali Anwar has asked that at least outcastes be included in the 80, saying that their condition is worse than Hindu Scheduled Castes. He is considered infallible even by his own community. Ali Anwar said that despite being in large numbers, Muslims are not getting jobs and representation in minority communities. It was intended to consider the possibility of including new castes in the Scheduled Castes.
