Pasmanda Made A Big Demand: After the Supreme Court’s decision on sub-division in Scheduled Castes, there is a debate going on across the country. Meanwhile, the marginalized Muslims have also demanded SC status. All India Pasmanda Muslim Mehaz (AIPMIM) and other Muslim organizations have demanded that at least 12 castes be included in the SC. Justice K.G. Muslim organizations have also met with the Balakrishnan Committee. Former MP Ali Anwar has asked that at least outcastes be included in the 80, saying that their condition is worse than Hindu Scheduled Castes. He is considered infallible even by his own community. Reportedly, Anwar said that there are at least 20 castes among Muslims whose economic condition is worse than that of Hindu Dalits. This has also been revealed in the survey based on Bihar itself. These castes constitute 6.62% of the total Muslims. On the other hand in Bihar their population is 1.16%. Let us tell you that BJP is also trying to bring the votes of marginalized Muslims to itself. The BJP has tasked the Minority Front with the task of inducting 50 lakh Muslims into the party.
AIPMM, on the other hand, demands that the new list of Scheduled Castes be drawn up impartially and include Dalit Muslims and Christians. Let us tell you that the word Pasmanda is used for tribal and backward Muslims. Ali Anwar said that despite being in large numbers, Muslims are not getting jobs and representation in minority communities. Muslims and Christians of Dalit origin have long been demanding the lifting of religious restrictions.Let us tell you that in 2022, the central government formed the commission under the chairmanship of retired Justice KG Balakrishnan. It was intended to consider the possibility of including new castes in the Scheduled Castes. Under this, importance is given to those castes who have at one time converted from Hinduism, Buddhism or Sikhism to become Christians or Muslims.
