An attempt was made to endanger peace in the city of Surat after the incident of stone pelting on Ganesh Mandap in Syedpura area of Surat. After this incident, the state’s home minister held a press conference amid a tense atmosphere in the city and said, ‘It will be beneficial if it stays within the law. Anyone involved in stoning will not be spared, stone pelters are criminals of the law as well as society. Along with this, the police is also keeping an idea to ensure that no innocent victim becomes a victim.
Police nabs 27 anti-social elements:
Police swung into action against anti-social elements who tried to disturb the peace of the city by pelting stones at the Ganesh Mandap in Syedpura area of Surat last night (September 8). When the state home minister Harsh Sanghvi said that no one will be spared, the police had arrested 27 anti-social elements by morning. In the press conference, Sanghvi said, ‘The accused has been arrested with the help of cctv-drone in the case of stone pelting in Ganesh pandal in Syedpura. In which some people were hiding outside the door of the house, the police have broken the lock and caught them. The Home Minister gave a clear suggestion to the Surat Police that the stone pelters are not legal criminals but also criminals of the society. Along with this, it has been suggested to take care that no innocent person is caught. Sanghvi said that there will be no unrest in the state. There can be no pity or emotion in this incident. Investigation is going on regarding the six minors who have been caught in the case. An investigation is also being conducted to find out who is trying to incite the minors.
