Surat: Sarathana police raided the paper shed of Mahadev Creations in Matrashri Compound on Canal Road, just 400 meters away from the police station, on the basis of a complaint received from the company, and seized a factory for making duplicate Harpic, Lysol, Dettol from there. Cans, 250 lids, 7600 stickers were found with a total of Rs.4.40 lakhs and one person was arrested and further action was taken. According to the details received from police sources, a Mumbai company working to ensure that logos of companies that manufacture Harpic, Lysol, Dettol are not misused, were arrested a week ago. Information was received that someone in the name of Mahadev Creations in the Sarthana Canal Road Matrushree compound of Surat is making and selling duplicate Harpic, Lysol, Dettol. Hence the company official applied to the Sarthana Police and the Sarthana Police raided the three-term unit yesterday. The police found duplicate Harpic, Lysol, Dettol from there. Prakash Mohanbhai Molya (34, Res. House No. 23, Krishna Nagar Society, Kathodara Village, Dist. Kamrej, Surat Dist. Res. Arikhana Village, Talalpar, Dist. Jamnagar) was found as the responsible manager. 419 filled five liter cans of Duplicate Harpic, Lysol, Dettol, 605 empty five and one liter cans of Duplicate Harpic, Lysol, Dettol, 250 lids, total 7600 stickers with logos of Harpic, Lysol, Dettol, four empty 50 liter cans, 125 barcodes of Flipkart were found and a total amount of Rs.4,39,800 was seized. Prakash Molya was preparing duplicate Harpic, Lysol, Dettol and selling them online. Sarthana police registered a case and took further action.
