A major tragedy has occurred when a building collapsed in the Transport Nagar of Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh. It is suspected that many people are buried under the debris of the collapsed building. As soon as the incident was reported, local police and fire brigade teams have started rescue operations. During the rescue operation, 13 people have been rescued from the debris. CM Yogi has also taken the incident seriously and ordered to be present at the scene. According to the information received, a building suddenly collapsed near Shaheed Path on Saturday at Transport Nagaram. The foundations may have been weakened due to long standing water around the building. Locals say that the building was in bad condition for a long time but was not given attention. After the building collapsed, the surrounding people rushed to help. Teams of SDRF and NDRF were also immediately alerted for relief and rescue operations. Fire brigade personnel also joined the relief and rescue work. CM Yogi also ordered the police personnel to be present at the scene as soon as the incident was reported.
