An Air India plane flying from Ahmedabad to London crashed while taking off from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport in Ahmedabad. The plane took off from the airport at 1.38 pm and the accident occurred at 1.40 pm. According to initial reports, the rear of the plane hit a tree during takeoff. It is also said that the accident occurred due to a technical fault in the plane.

91 people including crew members have died in the Air India plane crash that took place in Ahmedabad today (June 12) afternoon. Reports have been received that former Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani has also tragically passed away in this plane crash.
