
An Air India plane flying from Ahmedabad to London crashed while taking off from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport in Ahmedabad. The plane took off from the airport at 1.38 pm and the accident occurred at 1.40 pm. According to initial reports, the rear of the plane hit a tree during takeoff. It is also said that the accident occurred due to a technical fault in the plane.


91 people including crew members have died in the Air India plane crash that took place in Ahmedabad today (June 12) afternoon. Reports have been received that former Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani has also tragically passed away in this plane crash. The news of Vijay Rupani’s death has spread an atmosphere of mourning in the political circles of Gujarat. Bharatiya Janata Party leaders have started reaching Vijay Rupani’s residence. A huge crowd has gathered outside Vijay Rupani’s house. His death in a plane crash is unfortunate. Extremely tragic and unimaginable sad news. The plane going from Ahmedabad to London crashed within minutes of takeoff. I am deeply saddened by the news that many people have lost their lives and been injured in this incident.”

He expressed his condolences and informed that he was saddened to know about the death of former Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani in this accident.
