Here are the bravery cases of NSG commandos

The NSG Commando Force was created on 16 October 1984 during Operation Blue Star. Initially it was used mostly in Punjab. After that in Jammu and Kashmir. On 1 May 1986, 300 NSG commandos along with 700 BSF personnel liberated the Golden Temple from terrorists.

After that in 1988 he completed Operation Black Hawk in Mand area of ​​Punjab. Two terrorists were killed. On 12 May 1988, 1000 NSG commandos conducted Operation Black Thunder-2. Again the Golden Temple was besieged. 40 terrorists were killed in the assault operation that lasted from 15 to 18 May. 200 had surrendered.

Then the operation mouse trap was done. Rescued Burmese students from a hostage situation on a Thai plane in Kolkata in 1990. In 1993, when terrorists hijacked an Indian Airlines plane at Amritsar airport, the NSG commando force launched Operation Ashwamegh. In which both the terrorists were shot dead. A third was arrested.

In the year 2002, terrorists were killed in the Akshardham temple of Gujarat. After that, Pakistani terrorists were killed in the 26/11 Mumbai attack. In which many NSG jawans were injured. Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan and Havildar Gajendra Singh Bisht were martyred. NSG conducted Operation Black Tornado in Mumbai.

900 rooms of Taj Hotel were searched, 8 terrorists were killed and more than 600 people were rescued. Apart from this, NSG revealed the blasts that happened in Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Patna. When terrorists attacked Pathankot in 2016, NSG took action. Lt Col Niranjan was martyred in the counter attack. Six terrorists were killed in this operation.
