Students from the Municipal School Board, Ahmedabad, secured the first position in the state-level drawing and elocution competitions held under the “Seva, Sankalp, and Samarpan Abhiyan”

To mark the 25 glorious years of public service, good governance, and dedication by the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendrabhai Modi, the “Seva, Sankalp, and Samarpan Abhiyan” was launched. Under the inspiration and guidance of the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Gujarat, Shri Bhupendrabhai Patel, elocution and drawing competitions were organized across all primary, upper primary, secondary, and higher secondary schools in the state of Gujarat. Spanning from the school level up to the state level, these competitions saw the participation of 5,545,946 students in the drawing category and 1,124,622 students in the elocution category. In the district-level competition for Ahmedabad city—which included participants from 460 Municipal School Board schools and 1,726 private schools—Mayur Maheshbhai Vaghari from Shahpur Gujarati School No. 5 (under the Municipal School Board, Ahmedabad) secured the first position in the drawing competition. Meanwhile, in the elocution competition, a student from the GIDC school (under the Municipal School Board, Ahmedabad) secured the first position at the district level. Navya Sanjaybhai Solanki from Odhav Gujarati School No. 2 emerged as a winner.
The state-level drawing and elocution competitions of Gujarat were held on October 16, 2026, at Tagore Hall, Paldi, Ahmedabad. The event took place under the chairmanship of the Hon. Education Minister, Dr. Pradyuman Vaja, and in the inspiring presence of the Hon. Minister of State for Education, Smt. Rivaba Jadeja. The competitions were organized across four zones of the state. The Central Zone comprised nine districts: Ahmedabad, Anand, Kheda, Panchmahal, Dahod, Chhota Udepur, Bhavnagar, Botad, and Kutch. Among the 1,982,928 children who participated in the drawing competition across these nine districts, Mayur Maheshbhai Vaghari from Shahpur Gujarati School No. 5 (under the Municipal School Board, Ahmedabad) secured the first position. Similarly, among the 306,256 children who participated in the elocution competition, Navya Sanjaybhai Solanki from GIDC Odhav Gujarati School No. 2 (under the Municipal School Board, Ahmedabad) secured the first position. Both students were honored with trophies and certificates by the Hon. Education Minister, Dr. Pradyuman Vaja, and the Hon. Minister of State for Education, Smt.
