
Former Ahmedabad Collector Shri Sujit Kumar, who was transferred as Special Commissioner of State Tax, was bid farewell
Shri Bhavya Verma took charge as the Ahmedabad Collector and District Magistrate. On this occasion, District Development Officer Videh Khare, District Police Chief Om Prakash Jat, Morbi DDO Vidyasagar, Resident Additional Collector Bhavin Sagar and officers from various branches of the Collectorate welcomed the Collector with bouquets and conveyed their best wishes.
After assuming charge as Ahmedabad District Collector, all the officers including Shri Bhavya Verma bid farewell to former Ahmedabad Collector Shri Sujit Kumar, who will be transferred as Special Commissioner of State Tax.
Shri Bhavya Verma is an IAS officer of the year 2016 cadre. Originally from Rajasthan, Shri Verma holds B.Tech. and M.B.A. degrees. In addition, he has studied M.A. (Economics), M.A. (Public Administration) and CFA.
Shri Verma started his civil service as Asst. Secretary (Finance), New Delhi. After that, he has held various administrative positions in districts including Surendranagar, Gandhinagar, Kutch and also held responsibilities in Swachh Bharat Mission, AUDA and GUDA.
He was last serving as Valsad Collector. From where he was transferred as Ahmedabad District Collector and took charge today.
