The results also showed significant success at the top tier, with 35,508 students securing the A1 grade. Additionally, 1,697 schools across the state recorded a 100% result, while 39 schools registered a 0% pass rate.

The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) has officially released the results for the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations held in February/March 2026. Board Chairman Mukesh Pandya announced that regular students achieved an overall pass percentage of 83.86%, a slight increase from the previous year’s 83.08%.Out of the 7,56,392 regular students who appeared for the examination, 6,34,327 qualified for the certificate. Continuing a long-standing trend, female students outperformed their male counterparts, recording a pass percentage of 88.28%, compared to 80.12% for boys.Top-performing district: Narmada led the state with a 90.85% pass percentage.
Lowest-performing district: Panchmahal recorded the lowest percentage at 76.42%. Top centre: The Ajol centre in Gandhinagar district achieved a perfect 100% result. Lowest centre: The Munkhosla centre in Dahod district recorded the state’s lowest centre result at 33.74%.Students appearing in the English medium achieved a high pass percentage of 92.50%, while Gujarati medium students recorded 82.67%. Among the core subjects, Standard Mathematics recorded an exceptional pass percentage of 99.63%, while Basic Mathematics stood at 84.86%.

Chairman Pandya noted that the examination was conducted smoothly across 1,006 centres. To ensure security, the board utilized the ‘Paper Box Authentication and Tracking Application’ for the safe delivery of question papers. While only five malpractice cases were detected in person, the board’s rigorous CCTV monitoring identified 233 additional cases of irregularities through video footage.
