Ishan Technologies, a leading Pan-India ICT and digital infrastructure provider, announced the rebranding of its retail broadband services from Ishan Broadband to ‘Mera
Broadband’, alongside an expanded rollout of high-speed internet services across key cities in Gujarat, including Surat, Ahmedabad, and Rajkot. The transition comes at a time when household and small business internet consumption in India is rising sharply, driven by streaming, remote work, gaming, and cloud-based applications. Gujarat alone has seen a steady increase in broadband penetration, with demand shifting towards higher speeds, lower latency, and more consistent uptime. With Mera Broadband, Ishan is repositioning its consumer offering to align with this shift, backed by continued investments in network capacity and last-mile delivery. Over the next few years, the company plans to expand its customer base to 500,000. Commenting on the development, Mr. Pinkesh Kotecha, Chairman and Managing Director, Ishan Technologies, said, “This phase of expansion builds on Ishan’s broader investments in network modernisation and digital infrastructure, including earlier upgrades undertaken with global technologypartners such as Nokia, which have enabled the company to scale its broadband capabilities and improveservice quality.”Mera Broadband introduces a refreshed approach to consumer offerings, with plans built around evolving usage patterns across households and small businesses. Customers can choose plans, in line with rising digital consumption across segments. The rollout is currently focused on Gujarat, where Ishan has established a strong retail presence across top 27 cities in Gujarat, with plans to further deepen coverage. Mera plans to create a boutique niche focusing on advanced offerings with top-of-the-line service and support.
