Yet another incident highlighting the dangers of rash driving was reported near the Pakwan crossroads in Ahmedabad on Tuesday morning, when a speeding car triggered a chain collision, briefly disrupting traffic in the area.
The accident occurred around 11.15 am near the Pakwan Char Rasta, under the bridge. According to preliminary information, a Kia car, allegedly being driven at high speed, rammed into a sedan that was taking a turn near the crossroads.
The impact of the collision was so severe that the Kia car overturned, while the sedan was pushed forward and crashed into a school bus that was parked nearby. Police said that despite the intensity of the crash, no casualties or serious injuries were reported in the incident.
Eyewitnesses said the overturned vehicle caused panic among commuters, leading to traffic congestion for some time on the busy stretch. Police and traffic personnel rushed to the spot and cleared the vehicles, restoring the flow of traffic.
Further inquiry into the incident is underway, and officials said the circumstances leading to the accident are being examined. ‎
