
Ahmedabad: More than 5,000 Ayurveda practitioners from across the country will participate in Ayur Vivek Mahotsav, a mega event organised by Ayurved Vyaspeeth from January 9 to 11 at the Dadanagar Convention Centre in Adalaj.
Centred on the theme “Wisdom of Health Life”, the event will feature an expo, exhibition, conference and a series of knowledge-sharing seminars. Its focus is on integrating Ayurveda into general medical practice and highlighting the growing relevance of Ayurveda in addressing day-to-day clinical challenges. The focal theme of the Mahotsav is “Ayurveda in General Practice”, showcasing the increasing acceptance of traditional systems of medicine in preventive and curative healthcare.
The programme will include expert-led sessions on topics such as redefining general practice through Ayurveda, managing autoimmune disorders in routine practice, the clinical relevance of Panchakarma, success stories of Ayurvedic treatment, and Ayurveda in gynaecology. A panel discussion on the role of Ayurveda in emergency care will also take.
Speaking about the event, Vaid Hitesh Jani, Organising Chairman of Ayur Vivek Mahotsav, said, “Ayurveda offers time-tested solutions for many of the health challenges faced in general practice today. Through Ayur Vivek Mahotsav, our aim is to showcase how classical Ayurvedic principles can be applied effectively in modern clinical settings.”
The event will also feature multiple workshops covering areas such as shalakya kriyakalpa therapies, garbha sanskar, agnikarma, marma chikitsa, Ayurvedic beauty therapy and OPD-based Panchakarma procedures.
During the event, live, hands-on training workshops will be conducted on specialised subjects including bhagnachikitsa, lep-upanaah, vranachikitsa, pattabandhan, nadividhya, ksharkarma, saundarya chikitsa, karnapalivedhan and dantotpatan.
Free OPD camps for guidance on diseases related to kidney, skin and eyes, and conditions like diabetes, arthritis, autism, etc. will also be organised on January 10 from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm by Ayurveda experts. A special public session on “Indian Cow : Health- Wealth & Mindfulness” has also been organised the same day. Vaid Hitesh Jani, Provost of Gau Vishwa Vidyapeetham, will speak at the event, which will also be attended by Governor Acharya Devvrat.
Vaid Falgun Patel, Organising Secretary of the Ayur Vivek Mahotsav, said the event is designed as a platform for learning, collaboration and skill enhancement.
