In a significant enforcement action to protect consumers, safeguard the construction industrys quality standards, and uphold intellectual property rights, authorities conducted a successful raid on a manufacturing unit in Morbi, Gujarat. The raid was initiated following credible evidence of the entitys involvement in manufacturing and distributing spurious and counterfeit construction chemical products, specifically infringing on the trademarks of ROFF TILE  STONE FIXING. The raid, carried out by the Local Crime Branch (LCB) of Morbi on November 24, 2025, targeted a unit operating under the name ABS Build India in the Lalpar Industrial Estate-05. The operation uncovered a large-scale illegal setup for producing and packaging fake ROFF products using duplicate logos and unauthorized trademarks. The LCB successfully apprehended two individuals and seized counterfeit material, raw materials, and machinery with a total market value exceeding ₹15.18 Lakh. The seized material included 2,051 filled bags of counterfeit ROFF TILE &  STONE FIXING (20 kg), 1,370 empty bags with the ROFF trademark and machinery used for mixing, packing, and printing batch details. These spurious formulations were being sold to unsuspecting trade partners and end- users, misleading them and causing potential harm to the structural integrity and finish of construction projects. The raid underscores the severe threat posed by counterfeit construction chemicals, which compromise safety and erode trust in the market.
