Hema Malini, along with her daughters Esha and Ahana Deol, held a prayer meet on December 11 for veteran actor Dharmendra. The prayer meet reportedly took place around 4–5 pm to honor the memory of the late actor. The event was hosted at Delhi’s Dr Ambedkar International Centre, Janpath. The prayer meet was attended by several prominent political personalities, including Amit Shah, Nirmala Sitharaman, Bhupendra Yadav, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, Ashwini Vaishnaw and others.During the prayer meet, Hema reflected on her life with Dharmendra. She said, “Jis shaks ke sath maine kayi filmon mein pyar ka abhinaya kiya, wahi mere jivan saathi ban gaye.” She added, “Hamara pyaar sacha tha to ham kisi bhi paristhiti ka saamna karne ki himmat thi…” The actress further recalled how Dharmendra was a dedicated husband and a loving father to her two daughters.She then broke down while addressing the gathering, saying, “Aaj ki is prarthana sabha mein aap sab ka swagat karte hue, main bahut hi bhavuk ho rahi hoon. Maine kabhi nahi socha tha ki meri zindagi mein aisa ek pal aayega, jab mujhe bhi yeh shok sabha rakhni padegi, woh bhi mere Dharam ji ke liye.”
