Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla delivered a heartfelt address at renowned spiritual leader Morari Bapu’s “Manas Gau Sukta” Ram Katha at Barsana in Uttar Pradesh. Paying homage to the land of Radha Rani, Birla said, “This is the holy land of Braj, the land of Radha Rani, and of dedicated service to the cow. I bow to this sacred soil. It is a blessing for the entire nation that the message of Lord Ram’s life and ideals is reaching villages and towns across India through this Ram Katha.”Expressing gratitude for the opportunity to listen to Morari Bapu’s katha, he said, “When Pujya Bapu delivers the Ram Katha, not just this land but the entire nation becomes immersed in the spirit of Lord Ram.”

Calling Lord Ram an eternal inspiration, he added, “His life teaches us to walk the path of truth, to keep compassion in our hearts, and to dedicate our lives to the service of society. Human life is not only for oneself, but for the upliftment of others.” During the Katha, Morari Bapu emphasised that India is a “Gau-pradhan desh”, a nation where the cow is central, and called for a national policy for cow protection. Citing the Vedas, he noted that the cow is mentioned 74 times.

Bapu reminded the audience that Tulsi Das too affirmed the cow’s sacredness in the Ramcharitmanas, declaring, “The cow is not merely an animal, the Kalpavriksha is not just a tree, and amrit is not merely a drink.”
