Building on the resounding success of last year’s edition, vivo, the innovative global smartphone brand, has announced the third edition of the vivo Imagine Smartphone Photography Awards—celebrating the joy of imagination and inviting both photographers and photography enthusiasts from all walks of life to share their distinct perspectives on the world through a smartphone lens. With this edition, vivo aims to position the platform as a catalyst for India’s photography community—transforming smartphone photography into a powerful medium for storytelling and authentic self-expression, global smartphone brand, has announced the third edition of the vivo Imagine Smartphone Photography Awards—celebrating the joy of imagination and inviting both photographers and photography enthusiasts from all walks of life to share their distinct perspectives on the world through a smartphone lens. With this edition, vivo aims to position the platform as a catalyst for India’s photography community—transforming smartphone photography into a powerful medium for storytelling and authentic self-expression. The platform champions photography that embodies creativity, intent, and a unique personal vision, placing the power of perspective above the value of equipment. The extended format will give participants the time and freedom to experiment, refine, and deliver work that blends artistic vision with technical mastery—reaffirming vivo’s commitment to elevating mobile imaging. Open to participants from across India, the awards seek submissions that convey originality and use photography as a medium for meaningful storytelling. Acclaimed filmmaker Zoya Akhtar will helm the jury, joined by noted photographers Vineet Vohra, Rakesh Pulapa, and Aamir Wani.The awards will feature six categories of participation: Nature & Landscape, Night & Light, Architecture, Motion, Portrait, and Street & Culture. Entries will open on August 22 and close on November 30, after which the jury will shortlist the 6 finalists for the final evaluation across the six categories. The winner will receive a cash prize of ₹5,00,000, while the category winners will receive a vivo X200 Pro smartphone.
