Three dead bodies have been found buried under debris in Lincholi on the way to Kedarnath Yatra. It is suspected that the three died due to cloudburst on July 31. The SDRF team reached the spot and recovered the bodies of the three. The SDRF team conducted a search operation. This year, landslides have occurred in many parts of the country during the monsoon season following heavy rains. In which a lot of desolation has been created in Wayanad and Kedarnath. Then on Thursday (August 15), some workers informed the SDRF about some dead bodies buried under the debris. Subsequently, a team of SDRF led by SI Prem Singh reached the spot and conducted a search operation. In which the dead bodies buried under the big stones have been taken out and handed over to the district police. The process of identification of dead bodies has been carried out by the district police.

It is to be noted that due to heavy rains on the night of 31st July, 13 places on the route of Kedarnath Padayatra were severely damaged. Road opening is taking time. Air travel is currently underway. The roads between Gaurikund and Rambada were the worst hit due to heavy rains between Bhimbli and Lincholi. Most of the roads were broken in Bhimbli and Jangalchatti. While there were 10 places where the road had deteriorated. 50 meters of road was washed away in Jangalchatti.
