Ram Navami, a festival of immense spiritual significance, marks the birth of Lord Ram, the seventh incarnation of Lord Vishnu and a symbol of righteousness, courage, and devotion. Observed on the ninth day of Chaitra Navratri, this auspicious occasion is celebrated with grandeur across the country, with devotees engaging in fasting, temple visits, and reciting the Ramayana. The festival is not only a time for prayer and reflection but also a celebration of the values Lord Ram embodied—truth, duty, and compassion. Last year, with the completion of the magnificent Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, the celebrations hold even deeper meaning for devotees. On this special occasion, Zee TV actors Abhishek Sharma from Vasudha, Pulkit Bangia from Kaise Mujhe Tum Mil Gaye, Rachana Mistry from Jagriti-Ek Nayi Subah, Aarchi Sachdeva from Kumkum Bhagya, Bharat Ahlawwat from Jaane Anjaane Hum Mile, Abhishek Malik from Jamai No. 1 and Megha Prasad from Bhagya Lakshmi share their cherished memories of Ram Navami and how they plan to celebrate this year. Pulkit Bangia, who essays the role of Abir in Kaise Mujhe Tum Mil Gaye, said, “Ram Navami has always been a day of deep devotion in my family. We start the day with a special puja, offering flowers and bhog prasad to Lord Ram. Growing up, I used to eagerly wait for the special prasad my grandmother prepared, especially the delicious sooji halwa and puri chana. Even today, I make it a point to visit the temple and immerse myself in the spiritual celebrations. This festival reminds us of Lord Ram’s virtues and the importance of following the path of truth and righteousness. I wish everyone peace, prosperity, and happiness on this auspicious occasion. Jai Shree Ram!” Abhishek Sharma, who essays the role of Devansh in Vasudha, said, “Ram Navami has always been close to my heart. Since childhood, I have seen my family wake up early, perform puja, and offer prasad. The atmosphere at home is filled with devotion as we sing bhajans and seek Lord Ram’s blessings. This year, I truly wished to visit Ayodhya and witness the divine celebrations after the completion of the Ram Mandir, but due to my shooting schedule, I won’t be able to travel. However, I ensure to stay connected with my faith in my own way—there is a small temple on my way to the Vasudha set in Film City, and I make it a point to visit it in the morning.I wish everyone a blessed and joyous Ram Navami!” Bharat Ahlawwat, who essays the role of Raghav in Zee TV’s Jaane Anjaane Hum Mile said, “Ram Navami has always been a special occasion for me and my family. We keep our celebrations simple, starting the day with a small pooja at home, followed by reciting the Ramayana. My mother has this beautiful tradition of making Sooji Halwa as prasad, something I’ve grown up looking forward to. I remember, as a child, trying to help her in the kitchen, but mostly sneaking bites of the prasad before it was offered! For me, this day is not just about rituals; it’s about revisiting the values of Lord Ram — patience, humility, and righteousness. It’s a reminder to stay grounded, no matter where life takes us.” Abhishek Malik, who essays the role of Neel in Zee TV’s Jamai No. 1 said, “Ram Navami has always been a day of peace and reflection for me. At home, we begin the day with a small pooja, and my mother prepares Rice kheer and Sooji Halwa as prasad, a dish that instantly takes me back to my childhood. I vividly remember sitting beside my grandmother as she narrated stories from the Ramayana, teaching me the values of dharma and devotion. Back then, I didn’t fully grasp the depth of those stories, but as I’ve grown, I’ve realized how deeply relevant they are to life. Even today, I make an effort to spend some time reading a few verses from the Ramayana or simply reflecting on Lord Ram’s qualities. This festival reminds me that no matter how challenging life gets, walking the right path always leads to something meaningful.” Aarchi Sachdeva, who essays the role of Payal in Kumkum Bhagya, said, “Ram Navami has always held a special place in my heart. Back in my hometown Chandigarh, the celebrations were filled with devotion and joy—bhajans resonating from temples, the scent of freshly made prasad in the air, and the excitement of aarti every morning and evening. I still remember eagerly waiting for the delicious offerings—piping hot puris, kala chana, and sweet, which felt like a blessing on warm afternoons. Now, living in Mumbai, the scale of the celebrations is even grander, yet the essence remains unchanged. No matter where I am, this festival takes me back to those cherished childhood moments, reminding me of the warmth of home and the unwavering spirit of faith.” Rachana Mistry, who essays the role of Jagriti in Jagriti-Ek Nayi Subah, said, “Growing up in Mumbai, a city known for its rich cultural diversity, Ram Navami has always been a special occasion for me. I remember visiting beautifully decorated temples, listening to devotional songs echoing through the streets, and witnessing the incredible energy of the celebrations. Even with my busy schedule shooting for Jagriti – Ek Nayi Subah, I make it a point to pause and seek Lord Ram’s blessings on this auspicious day. It’s a time for devotion, reflection, and spreading positivity. I wish all my fans a joyous Ram Navami — may this day bring you strength, peace, and happiness! Jai Shree Ram” Megha Prasad, who essays the role of Malishka in Zee TV’s Bhagya Lakshmi said, “For me, Ram Navami has always been a day filled with devotion and togetherness. Growing up, my family would gather to offer prayers and my mom would prepare sattvik dishes as bhog. I loved helping her serve it to everyone who came to our house, and it was always such a special moment for us. I remember how the atmosphere on this day would bring a sense of peace and clarity. Even now, during Ram Navami, I continue this tradition of offering prayers and bhog, reflecting on the strength and peace it brings. It’s a reminder that no matter how busy life gets, taking time to pause and stay grounded makes all the difference. I wish everyone a blessed and joyous Ram Navami!”
