PM Modi said that he is confident that it will prove to be a milestone in the field of biotechnology research. More than 20 renowned research institutions like IITs, scientists, CSIR and Biotechnology Research and Innovation Center have played an important role in this discovery. Today, the country has taken a very historic step in the world of research. Five years ago, the Genome India project was approved. During this time, despite the challenges of Covid, our scientists have completed it with great effort. This database covers the extraordinary genetic landscape of the world.
