Now another virus HMP has spread from China, which has put the entire world in the grip of Corona virus, and the worrying thing is that this HMPV virus has entered India. Not only was the first case reported in India on Monday, but three cases have come to light at once. Two cases have been reported in Karnataka and one case in Gujarat. Due to which most states have now gone on alert. The Delhi government has instructed all hospitals to be prepared for treatment. Although the symptoms of this virus are also considered to be similar to Corona virus, this virus is different from Corona. The first case of HPMV in Gujarat has been reported in Ahmedabad. A two-month-old baby from Dungarpur, Rajasthan, had a cold-fever-cough problem for two weeks. As the child’s condition did not improve, he was admitted to Modasa Hospital. But there was no significant improvement in the condition there, so he was brought to a private hospital in Chandkheda, Ahmedabad. Initially, the condition of the child was critical and he was on a ventilator for five days. However, his health is gradually improving and now he will be discharged soon. While the child was under treatment, his report came back positive for HPMV when he was tested in a private lab. Two of the three cases were detected by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) in Karnataka, an eight-and-three-month-old girl was admitted to Baptist Hospital in Bengaluru. Where the HMPV virus was found in her during the investigation, while another eight-month-old child was also found to have the same virus and was also admitted to the same hospital in Bengaluru where the treatment of a girl was started earlier. In Gujarat, the same virus was found in a two-month-old child in a private hospital in Ahmedabad. The child is originally from Rajasthan and was admitted to a private hospital in Ahmedabad on December 24. The child is currently on a ventilator but his health is stable. The Union Health Ministry has said that the ministry is monitoring the entire situation as this HMP virus has entered the country for the first time. ICMR is working to trace such cases. Like the Corona virus, this virus also causes difficulty in breathing in patients. This new virus from China is known as HMPV i.e. Human Metapneumovirus. This virus originally came from the Paramyxoviridae. The first signs of this virus were found in the year 2001 but it has not been seen in a dangerous condition anywhere for years. This virus causes respiratory diseases, children who are infected with the virus have difficulty breathing along with symptoms of cough, fever etc. In most cases, children have been seen to be more susceptible to this virus. The risk of this virus is also higher for children under the age of five. After two cases were reported, the state government in Karnataka has advised people to wear masks in public places. Also, do not reuse tissue paper and handkerchiefs, do not come into direct contact with sick people, do not use towels and sheets used by others, wash hands regularly, use a cloth to cover your mouth if you sneeze or cough. People have been requested not to go to public places if you have a cough or phlegm. While Union Health Minister J. P. Nadda said that this virus is not new, it has been seen in many places in the world since 2001. There is no worrying situation regarding this virus in India. The virus spreads through the air, coming into contact with infected people. This virus is usually seen spreading more in winter.
How does HMP virus spread :
HMP virus spreads by coming into contact with an infected person. It can also be transmitted by touching objects that have the virus on them. If a person is infected with this virus and sneezes or coughs, the virus particles can reach other people in the air. If an infected patient kisses someone, shakes hands, touches a door handle, keyboard or any other object, the virus particles are released and the person who comes in contact with them can get infected with this virus. Like Corona, samples of this virus are also taken from the nose or throat.
