Gujarat’s budget for the year 2025-26 has been presented at Rs. 3,70,250 crore. Finance Minister Kanubhai Desai is presenting Gujarat’s budget for the fourth time in a row today. As per our determination to make Medicity-type zonewise facilities available like Ahmedabad, a multi-specialty and super-specialty hospital for cardiac is under construction at Vadodara. Apart from that, cardiac, kidney and urology services at Surat; cancer and cardiac services at Rajkot; ₹231 crore to start cardiac, kidney and urology services in Gandhinagar. New “Sakhi Sahar” scheme announced for self-reliance of women. Provision of ₹100 crore for providing equipment assistance, loan guarantee and training to women. In the budget, it was announced to increase the existing assistance to farmers for purchasing tractors to ₹1 lakh. In addition, a provision of ₹1612 crore has been made to provide assistance to farmers for various farm implements, mini tractors, fertilizers and other equipment. The state government has given priority to promoting natural farming. Provision of more than ₹400 crore for various activities related to natural farming to accelerate the campaign. Farmers used to fear poisonous insects and wild animals while drawing water to the fields at night. To get rid of these difficulties and night exposure, “Kisan Suryodaya Yojana” has been implemented. Under this scheme, farmers are provided with electricity during the day in 16,683 i.e. 97% villages of the state. To further strengthen this scheme, an allocation of ₹2175 crore has been made in this budget. Under Integrated Tourism Destination Development, about 150 roads connecting important tourist destinations will be developed and 200 new AC buses will be operated for tourists. I am making a special provision of ₹180 crore for the development of Ambaji, the abode of Adyashakti Maa Amba, among the fifty-one Shakti Peethas. Bhuj’s Smritivan is included in UNESCO’s list of the 7 most beautiful museums in the world. With the transformation of many places like the Statue of Unity, the historical city of Vadnagar, Gujarat has become a preferred destination for tourists from home and abroad. During the year 2024, 18 crore 63 lakh domestic and international tourists have become guests of Gujarat. The development of employment-oriented sectors like tourism will create special opportunities for our youth in urban and rural areas. A large number of direct and indirect employment will be created in many sectors like hotel business, transport and handicrafts. For the development of this sector, I propose ₹6505 crore under various departments, including an increase of 31% in the budget of the tourism department. To promote self-employment in the cottage industry sector, it has been decided to increase the loans available in the industrial, service and trade sectors in urban and rural areas under the “Vajpayee Bankable Scheme” by ₹25 lakh and the subsidy amount to ₹3 lakh 75 thousand. The provision of this scheme has been increased by 100% to ₹480 crore. The budget session has started in the Gujarat Assembly, in which the state finance minister Kanu Desai is making important announcements. There is good news for people who dream of owning their own house in this budget. The state finance minister has focused on accelerating government housing and has announced the construction of 3 lakh houses for the poor of the state.

Subsidy increased on buying new houses:
