There has been a significant fluctuation in temperature in Gujarat in just 15 days. Last week, the mercury in various districts of the state including Ahmedabad rose. It was as if fireballs were raining from the sky in February itself. It is worth mentioning that according to the Indian Meteorological Department, this year February has been extremely hot across the country, meaning that Gujarat also recorded high temperatures, while the maximum temperature in the state remained very high during the last 5 days of the month. In the beginning of March, i.e. when summer actually begins, due to various systems, the temperature dropped by five to six degrees and in some districts this drop even reached 13 degrees. But now, according to the weather department’s forecast, the temperature is likely to rise by five degrees again in the next five days, so the people of Gujarat will once again experience scorching heat. According to the weather department’s forecast, the state’s climate will remain dry for the next five to seven days, and after the temperature remains constant for 24 hours, the minimum and maximum temperatures will gradually increase by three to five degrees. Currently, the winds are coming from the north and northeast direction over Gujarat, but they become hot as they pass through the plains and heat the land as soon as they reach Gujarat. On the other hand, the coastal areas of the Arabian Sea will also experience gusty winds. According to the Director of the Meteorological Department, Dr. A.K. Das, the minimum and maximum temperatures of the state will gradually increase by three to five degrees during the next seven days. And a yellow warning has been issued for the entire coastal area of the state during the next 9 and 10 March.
