A crowd of devotees has gathered at Mahakumbh Mela in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. People from all over the country and abroad are reaching this fair. Since transportation facilities like buses and trains have been increased, many people try to reach there by air due to the heavy crowd. Meanwhile, airlines have started looting by taking advantage of the opportunity. According to information, the air fare from Ahmedabad to Prayagraj, which was earlier around Rs 6100, has now crossed Rs 40 thousand. There is a lot of anger among devotees due to this unusual price increase.

Why is there a sudden increase in airfare during holidays despite all the charges being the same? :
According to the information received, currently the fare from Ahmedabad to Prayagraj is around Rs 6100. But due to the Mahakumbh, the airfare has increased by about 7 times compared to normal days. From January 25 to 27, the one-way airfare from Ahmedabad to Prayagraj is around Rs 22,560 to Rs 39,500. According to devotees who are upset with the increasing airfare, how come the fares are ten times higher in morning flights, afternoon flights, festivals and holidays despite the airlines’ fuel charges, airport tax, government tax, staff salary, operation cost and all other expenses being the same? Ahmedabad-Prayagraj air tickets are sold for Rs 40 per thousand, isn’t that a kind of robbery? Doesn’t the government have any control over the increasing airfare? According to experts, low-cost airlines sell some tickets in the name of low-cost and sell all the rest at double and 3 to 5 times the price. In the name of low cost, tickets are non-refundable and no refund is given by the airlines. In the name of low cost, no service is provided in the flight, many airlines have even stopped providing water.
