Big decision for farmers whose land has been acquired, farmers who have died out will be given certificates

The state government has taken an important decision in the interest of farmers whose land has been acquired in the construction of various development projects. In order to provide an opportunity to farmers who have become non-farmers due to lack of certificates despite all their land having been acquired, the state government has given directions to publish a resolution in this regard. According to this decision of the state government, farmers whose land has been acquired in various projects since 1960, i.e. since the establishment of Gujarat as a separate state, and who could not obtain a farmer certificate at that time, will be able to apply to the concerned collector to obtain a certificate within one year of the publication of this resolution by the state government. After receiving such an application, the concerned collector will verify it and issue the farmer certificate. Not only this, the farmer will have to purchase the land within three years of receiving such a certificate. Farmers of the state whose lands have been acquired in projects but who could not get a farmer certificate at that time or who have died. Then this decision will give a boost to agriculture. In addition, farmers who used to get the only survey number saved among the survey numbers of their account uncultivated, due to which the farmer died. In such cases, they used to face difficulty in purchasing agricultural land due to the lack of any provision to get a farmer certificate. Such representations were frequently made by farmers before the Chief Minister. In connection with such representations, the state government has decided that from now on, if any farmer asks for a farmer certificate after the last survey number of his agricultural land has also become uncultivated, then such land will have to be given a farmer certificate within one year of becoming uncultivated. The farmer will have to purchase the land within two years from the date of this certificate. Applicants who became non-farmers in this manner one year before the publication of the resolution in this regard will also get the benefit of this decision.
