Kericho, Kenya: Renowned spiritual leader Morari Bapu extended his greetings on the occasion of Guru Purnima from Kericho, Kenya, where he was delivering his 981st Ramkatha, and prayed that the blessings of Maharishi Vyas and the sacred Vyaspith reach everyone.

Addressing the Ramkatha, Morari Bapu conveyed his Guru Purnima and Vyas Purnima wishes with simplicity and warmth. With his characteristic smile, he offered prayers for the well-being of all, without delivering a formal message.

Describing Guru Purnima as one of the most revered festivals in the Sanatan tradition, Morari Bapu said the day is an occasion to remember the spiritual masters who have shown the path of wisdom through the ages. He prayed that the grace of Maharishi Vyas and the blessings of the Vyaspith continue to guide and inspire seekers across the world.

Morari Bapu also shared that he does not organise any elaborate celebrations at his native village of Talgajarda on Guru Purnima. Instead, he observes the occasion in a simple and personal manner by worshipping the sacred Padukas (footwear) of his Guru.

Guru Purnima, observed on the full moon day of the Hindu month of Ashadha, is dedicated to expressing gratitude towards Gurus and teachers for their guidance. The festival is celebrated across India as a tribute to the Guru-Shishya tradition. It will be celebrated on Wednesday this year.
