The work of Rajkot-Ahmedabad Six-lane Express Highway is still going on. At that time, the most problem of traffic jam for lakhs of motorists traveling on this road, especially between Ahmedabad and Rajkot, is near the famous pilgrimage site Chotila Dungar. Accordingly, now this road will be only for going to Chotila and the process of building a new highway of the same size by bypassing Chotila has started for vehicles wanting to go directly from Rajkot to Ahmedabad or directly from Ahmedabad to Rajkot. According to the information received, before reaching the gate of Chamunda Mataji’s Dungar on the way from Rajkot to Chotila, there is an overbridge on the highway. Before this bridge, a new 60-meter (200-foot) wide and approximately 7-km long six-lane road will be built from Chanpa village at a total cost of about Rs 219 crore. It will directly cross Chotila and exit towards Limbdi near Sangani village and directly meet the Ahmedabad Express Highway. It is worth mentioning that 1 to 2 lakh pilgrims come to Chotila Dungar every full moon day, fifty thousand to one lakh every Sunday and even during festivals, due to which there is a dense traffic jam of about one kilometer every day. Thus, instead of the Rajkot-Ahmedabad Express Road, the vehicles slow down more than the road at this place. However, approval has yet to be sought from the government for the work of this road and its work will go ahead after approval.
