The Union Government’s Ministry of AYUSH and Homeopathy has reduced the NEET cutoff in UG-PG by 16 percentiles after four rounds of All India Quota and State Quota. At the same time, the fifth additional round is being held for the first time in Ayurveda-Homeopathy. Along with this, the Union Government has allowed cancellation of admission in Ayurveda-Homeopathy for the first time. So, there will be a big relief for the students. But on the other hand, despite the fifth round after four rounds in medical-dental, the admission cancellation has not been allowed. On the contrary, according to the new rules, the Union Government has now decided to take a deposit of Rs 3 lakh for the students who take admission in the additional stray vacancy-fifth round.
64 seats vacant in Medical-Dental:
After four rounds, 143 seats have fallen vacant in Ayurveda-Homeopathy and 64 seats have fallen vacant in Medical-Dental. This is the first time that so many seats have fallen vacant after all four rounds and a total of 928 students have secured a security clearance of 10 thousand. After the cutoff percentile, the fifth additional round is being held in the All India Quota and State Quota. While in Medical-Dental, as per the new program announced by the Central Government Committee, the fifth additional round-stray vacancy round is being held in the State-All India Quota. But the Central Government has increased the security deposit for admission in the additional round, according to which the two lakh deposit in the All India Quota has been increased by 3 lakh to 5 lakh rupees and the deposit in the State Quota, which was 10 thousand rupees till now, has been increased to 3.10 lakh. Only students who have not been admitted in the fourth round or have not confirmed their admission in all four courses before will be able to participate in this fifth round. If the student has not deposited the deposit through demand draft by November 25th, the Central AYUSH-Homeopathy Department has allowed cancellation of admission in Ayurveda-Homeopathy. The student will have to go to the help center by the 21st and cancel the admission. But now he will not be able to participate in any additional round of all four courses and the security deposit of 10 thousand will not be refunded. The Central AYUSH-Homeopathy Department had reduced the cutoff percentile of the entrance exam by 15 percentile for UG and PG admissions as well. Due to which the registration of newly qualified students was done and the merit of these registered students has been declared. This includes 21 students in PG Ayurveda and 51 students in PG Homeopathy.
