A few days ago, one of the leaders, Madhu Tadhani, was arrested by the police in an incident where two BJP leaders raped a girl who was studying in a girls’ hostel run by the Patel Education Trust. After that, another BJP leader, Paresh Premjibhai Raddia, who has been absconding for more than a quarter of a month, appeared at the Atkot police station on Thursday after his anticipatory bail application was canceled in the Rajkot Sessions Court.One and a half months ago, the victim girl in the Chakchari chapter of the Atkot girls’ hostel filed a complaint with the Rajkot district police chief that she had taken admission in the Patel girls’ hostel here in the year 2019-20 and was studying there. Meanwhile, Paresh Raddia, a BJP leader who is the current trustee and husband of a woman member of Rajkot District Panchayat living in Virnagar village, and Madhu Tadhani, a former sarpanch of Panchvada village, a BJP leader, who was Paresh’s friend, lost sight.

In which Madhu and Paresh used to come and go to the hostel frequently and harassed in Yenken manner. In the year 2021, Madhu and Paresh threatened her with some pretext and started physically assaulting her in her room. Later, one day, both of them raped and threatened to kill the family. After that, both of them often came to her room and forced her against her will. Meanwhile, in the month of July 2023, Madhu met BJP Vice President Dr. Bharatbhai Boghrani K.D.P. He was called to the hospital and had forced physical intercourse there as well. So tired of both, Madhu came and raped her in the car even when she was going to Surat in 2024. She finally gathered courage and after telling her family members about suicide, filed a complaint at Atkot police station.
