Western Railway Women’s Welfare Organization (WRWWO) organised a special felicitation programme to honour outstanding women employees from across Western Railway, in recognition of their dedication, commitment and exemplary service rendered in their respective fields.

According to a press release issued by the Chief Public Relations Officer, Western Railway, Shri Vineet Abhishek, the programme was held on 16th March, 2026 in a warm and celebratory atmosphere, bringing together employees and members of WRWWO. The President of WRWWO, Mrs. Isha Malik, felicitated 57 women employees representing various departments with merit certificates and cash awards in the presence of Executive Committee members of WRWWO and other dignitaries.

The programme highlighted the invaluable contribution of women employees towards the efficient functioning of the organisation and recognised their consistent efforts in maintaining high standards of professionalism. The felicitation ceremony served as a mark of appreciation for their dedication, sincerity and commitment to duty.

Addressing the gathering, Mrs. Malik lauded the significant role played by women staff in the organisation and appreciated their ability to efficiently discharge their professional responsibilities while maintaining a harmonious balance between their work and personal lives. She further encouraged the awardees to extend their influence beyond the workplace by promoting the education and empowerment of girl children. Emphasising the importance of equal opportunities, she urged that girls be supported in their educational pursuits and guided towards becoming confident, independent and economically self-reliant individuals.

The programme not only celebrated the achievements of women employees but also reaffirmed the commitment of Western Railway towards creating an inclusive, supportive and empowering work environment for women across all levels.
