Teach For India, a non-profit championing educational equity, has announced the next deadline forits 2026 Fellowship. The deadline to apply is March 22, 2026. Through the Fellowship, aspiringleaders will have the opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of children while shaping thefuture of education in India.In addition to the Fellowship experience, selected Fellows will have the unique opportunity to optfor a two-year postgraduate programme (four semesters), enabling them toearn a master’s degreein transformational learning while continuing their full-time, paid teaching roles in under-resourcedschools.Commenting on the announcement, Ashwath Bharath, Senior Director Movement Building, TeachFor India, said – “Each year, we are inspired by the passion of youngindividuals who take their firststep toward becoming leaders through the Teach For India Fellowship. This year is especially excitingas we roll out the Master’s Degree programme after a successful pilot phase. Post the Fellowship andbeing equipped with a master’s degree, aspirants will be able to explore research and doctoralstudies along with contributing meaningfully within Teach For programmatic roles and otherorganizations. We hope it will empower Fellows to lead innovative change initiatives and deepentheir commitment to educational equity.”Chosen Fellows commit to serving as full-time teachers in affordable private schools or English-medium government schools. Here, they'll guide students through the complexities of India'sinequities, directly addressing the root causes of educational disadvantage.The Master’s Degree in Transformational Leadership is an immersive and rigorous leadershipdevelopment programme designed to complement the Fellowship experience. It will deep-dive intovarious aspects that are an integral part of classroom education today, ranging from classroomculture to data-driven instruction and assessments, education leadership, stakeholder engagement,and community projects. It will also include immersive sessions on arts & sports education, policyand the public sector, education technology, and school leadership (among many others).
