The rescue team has informed that 2 people have been rescued alive. Many of the remaining 55 passengers are feared dead. The accident took place at 5:37 am Indian time (9:07 am local time). The plane was supposed to land at Muan International Airport. At the same time, a fault occurred in the landing gear. Due to this, its wheels did not open and come down. As the wheels did not open, the plane made an emergency belly landing. In this, the body of the plane collided directly with the runway. During this, the plane skidded on the runway and collided with the airport boundary wall. As soon as the plane hit, there was a huge explosion and it turned into a ball of fire. Operations at the airport have been stopped after the accident. All local and international flights have been canceled here. The Jeju Airlines plane that crashed was a 737-800 plane of the American company Boeing. The plane tried to land at the airport twice. In the first attempt, the plane could not land due to the landing gear not opening. After this, the plane circled the airport. The second time, the pilot landed the plane without the landing gear. According to many media reports, it is being claimed that a bird hit the wing of the plane. Due to which the landing gear was damaged and could not open during landing.
