Gandhinagar, July 11, 2026: redBus, a leading online bus ticketing platform, felicitated winners of the redBus People’s Choice Awards at the Bharat Prawaas Awards 2026. Organised by the Bus and Car Operators Confederation of India (BOCI) and curated by MM Activ, the awards were hosted as part of Prawaas 5.0, held from July 9 to 11, 2026, at the Helipad Exhibition Centre, Gandhinagar. The ceremony was inaugurated by Shri Nitin Gadkari, Hon’ble Minister for Road Transport and Highways, as Guest of Honour, highlighting the role of state and private operators in advancing passenger-first public transport in India. Several notable dignitaries were also present during the ceremony.
The redBus People’s Choice Awards gives passengers a direct voice in recognising the bus operators they trust most. In June 2026, redBus conducted a nationwide poll on its platform, drawing votes from travellers across India, who chose their favourite bus operators across categories such as punctuality, service quality, and overall travel experience.
At the ceremony, a total of 22 awards were presented across multiple categories, including Best State Road Transport Corporations, Best Zonal Private Operators (North, South, East, West), Best National Operator, and the redBus Rising Star Awards recognising new and exceptionally performing operators across multiple categories
