Department of Posts is rapidly moving through an era of digital transformation, and in such a scenario, continuous training and skill enhancement of officials has become extremely essential. As a significant initiative towards enhancing efficiency in postal services, technological empowerment, and continuous capacity building, Divisional Level Training Centre was inaugurated on April 17, 2026, at Railway Mail Service “AM” Division, Ahmedabad, by Postmaster General, North Gujarat Region, Ahmedabad, Shri Krishna Kumar Yadav. Certificates to the trainees who successfully completed the training course on “Fundamentals of Generative Artificial Intelligence” were also distributed. Senior Superintendent, Railway Mail Service, Shri Piyush Rajak also graced the function.
Postmaster General Shri Krishna Kumar Yadav said that iGOT (Integrated Government Online Training) – Karmayogi platform has emerged as a powerful medium in this direction, through which modern administrative, technical, and management-related training is being provided to officials, resulting in continuous improvement in service quality. iGOT Karmayogi was launched by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi under Mission Karmayogi. Its objective is to provide continuous, technology-based, and performance-oriented training to all officials, making them more capable, accountable, innovative, and citizen-centric. This entire initiative is an important step towards realizing the goal of Viksit Bharat 2047. At present, 08 Divisional Level Training Centres (DLTCs) and 01 Regional Level Training Centre (RLTC) are actively operational in the North Gujarat Region, playing a pivot role in continuous training and skill enhancement of India Posta officials. During the financial year 2025-26, more than 13,000 officials in the North Gujarat Postal Region have already been imparted training, of which 10,000 were trained through Divisional Level Training Centres and 3,000 through online mode.
Postmaster General Shri Krishna Kumar Yadav, IPoS said that Department of Posts is conducting various contemporary and useful training courses through the iGOT platform. These include important courses such as Conduct Rules, Effective Communication, Post Office Regulations 2024, MIS Reports under Advanced Postal Technology 2.0, Managing and Leading Teams, and Fundamentals of Generative Artificial Intelligence. Through these courses, officials are not only gaining technical proficiency, but their leadership abilities and decision-making skills are also being significantly strengthened.
