Marking 50 years of MAGGI in India, Nestlé India recently unveiled a commemorative postal stamp celebrating the brand’s enduring legacy of bringing people together across generations. As MAGGI enters its next phase of growth, the company continues to strengthen its manufacturing footprint to meet rising demand across the country.
The Sanand factory in Gujarat, commissioned in September 2021, is one of Nestlé India’s key facilities supporting this scale. Spread across over 82 acres, the plant manufactures MAGGI Noodles and MAGGI Masala-ae-Magic, along with KITKAT, with dedicated production lines operating round-the-clock. Today, the Sanand facility contributes significantly to the volume of MAGGI noodles produced nationwide, underlining its scale and operational efficiency.
The factory employs over 700 people and reflects a strong focus on inclusive growth, with a diverse workforce, boasting almost 30% women employees and more than 20 people with special abilities.
Sustainability remains a key priority, with initiatives such as biomass boilers, the use of natural gas, and the increasing adoption of renewable energy. The facility also drives local sourcing at scale, working with regional suppliers for key raw materials.
Located within the Sanand GIDC industrial hub near Ahmedabad, the factory benefits from strong infrastructure and connectivity, enabling efficient distribution across India.
