Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney on Monday thanked his Indian counterpart, Narendra Modi’s hospitality and said this is not simply a renewal of ties but a partnership between two confident countries. Carney said there has been more engagement than ever before between India and Canada in the last one year, in a reference to an improvement in relations between the two sides since his predecessor Justin Trudeau left. “Our FMs met five times. Lot of engagements between Canadian and Indian governments in last year than ever before. This is not only renewal of relationship but a partnership between two confident countries,” Carney said.
