Devbhumi Dwarka: Renowned spiritual leader Morari Bapu on Thursday expressed deep concern over reports of cow meat being sold in the sacred town of Devbhumi Dwarka, calling itunacceptable and a serious matter for both society and the government. He made the remarksduring his ongoing “Manas Krishna Avatar” katha in Devbhumi Dwarka.Referring to a message conveyed by Jagadguru Shankaracharya, Morari Bapu said he wasinformed of the Jagadguru’s anguish by Pujya Swami Keshavanandji.“I also read in today’s newspapers about the pain experienced by Jagadguru Shankaracharya.Dwarka is Devbhumi, the sacred land of Lord Krishna, the home of the Jagat Mandir and thespiritual heart of Sanatan Dharma. Reports of people selling cow meat here are not acceptableto anyone,” he said.Morari Bapu said he had visited two gaushalas in Devbhumi Dwarka and witnessed thedevotion with which cows are cared for.“There is immense seva taking place. People are serving cows with faith and devotion. In such a sacred place, the trade of cow meat is a serious concern for both society and the government. This issue requires awareness and responsibility from everyone,” he said. He said that when cows are regarded as mothers, practices such as cow slaughter must come to an end. He noted that while saints often speak about the protection of dharma, the issue also demands sincere reflection and action. “Raising slogans alone is not enough. This matter requires serious thought,” he added.
